The Firing and the MSM Sleaze

Juan Williams, a repeat offender and an idiot to boot, has insulted Muslims on Fox TV. For a reason unclear to any sane listener, Williams served as commentator on NPR. He frequently substituted for the late Daniel Shore. It was a pathetic scene. Shore, one of the more astute observer of American politics and world events and one of the best jornalist of the last 25 year, was widely admired and respected. When Shore was away, Williams piped in his standard MSM talking points that have the depth a puddle three days after the rain and also as clear and healthy to imbibe.

Because Williams insulted a whole religion and several million American Muslim he was fired. The right wing, known to indulge in Muslim hate, came out swinging tearing into NPR and with the ferocity of the mad dogs righties typically manifest. That was not surprising. The MSM also whole heartedly supported Williams and objected to his firing. The tribe surrounds to protect one of them no matter what the infraction is. That is a sleazy behavior. That is demanding class privileges. One by one they marched and professes to the purity of Williams; some see him as friend. I am disgusted with all these camps.

Helen Thomas was let go because she basically supported genocide when she called Israelis to return to Europe. We don't tolerate support for mass murder. No one noticed the irony. Thomas who is of Lebanese extraction lives in a country the belongs to Native American. Why shouldn't she go back to Lebanon. Her firing the right move.

Octavia Nasr was fired by CNN after expressing admiration to Hezbolah imam who died. She didn't say that she supports Hezbolah, she didn't called for Hezbolah military action, she didn't call for murder or expulsion. All she expressed was admiration to an Imam. There is nothing wrong with her expression. She shouldn't have been fired.
