The ADL has no 1st Amendment Right

Krugman, Chait and Zakaria have decided that the ADL has to follow their views, otherwise the ADL is beyond the pale. The ADL opposed a permit to build a mosque near 9/11 core in lower Manhattan. This deeply emotional or political decision has been converted by the especially pure into a question of religious tolerance which it really isn't. Krugman and Chait had repudiated the ADL. Chait even suggested suggested an alternative organization. Zakaria, who was awarded some ADL honor, has now returned it.

In the cases of Chait and Zakaria, two average journalists (I am generous), had essentially an MSM reaction. ADL is now an outcast. It isn't based on the ADL's long record; it is based on deviating from the Village elders.

As far as I am concerned, Chait and Zakaria are beyond the pale.

For the record, I would allow the mosque as currently planned, although I fail to understand the motivation behind the mosque being where it going to be.
