Bush is back with Obama's Help

The Republicans want to rehabilitate Bush and go back to his policies. The reasons are pretty obvious: Give more money to the rich and less to the middle class. Dominate and almost squash the Democrats. Support more wars that keep people in check. The Republican policies reflect approaches of the 19th century. Support Robber Barons, have no social support of any sort, precedes modern medicine and widely available medical services. For them blacks are only partially free, Gays are criminals that violate the laws of nature. Republicans believe in the Wild West where everyone must have a gun or even 100 guns. Everyone that violates any of their "laws" should be jailed.

The Democratic Party, at the very least, is the party of FDR and LBJ. It support social services such as Social Security and Medicare, it controls the financial system with the SEC, it believes in health care for all kids and most of the party believes in universal health care. Democrats are under a Big Tent where Black and Whites, Browns and Asians, straight and gay, believers and non-believers live in harmony.

The chasm between the two parties is the deepest and widest of the differences between parties in the democratic world. Yet, Americans largely are unaware of the huge gap between the parties. I believe that most Americans are closer to the Democrats than to the Republicans. Had American known, for instance, that voting for the Republican Party amounts to causing themselves damage, the Republicans today would have been way to left of where they are. They would be where they were at Eisenhower’s time.

It’s the Democrat’s duty to make the people see the light. As a matter of fact, when Obama was elected president due to the financial collapse caused by the backward policies of Bush he should have made it abundantly clear time and again to America that the collapse was caused by Bush and the Republican party. He should have spent his first year hammering the Republicans for their backward irresponsibility, their kinship with the very rich. Obama not only didn’t do it, he found it necessary to appeal to the irresponsible and the backward. He helped them strengthen their resolve to live in the 19th century, he absolved them of single handedly ruining the economy and made Washington the guilty party. Obama is the single reason the Republican succeeded to be obstructionist and brought them back from the dead.
