Enough

The Democrats have been munching pebbles for a long time now. In the senate there are hardly 30 Democratic senators who can be vaguely classified as the followers of JFK, LBJ, Humphrey and even Bill Clinton. The other 30 are either radical centrists, for unclear reason called Moderates, real centrist in the tradition of Rockefeller and sell outs to highest bidders. The Republican are even worse, of the 40 GOP senators, about 20 live comfortably in the 18th century. Vitter and DeMint, for example, would have been decent and balanced in 1750, while now they are rabid dogs. About 10 GOP senators are decent and balanced individuals with whom disagreements can be discussed and accepted. The last 10 are simply nuts among them are Kyl, Inhofe, Chambliss, etc.

The chances to reform the parties is zero; on the contrary, the parties are getting worse every election cycle and a few years both the house and the senate are going to represent Martians instead of Americans.

We should be looking for a solution that will unite responsible, left of center and decent majority of the American people.
