About half a day into Israel's rocket stopping attack on Gaza, one could hear: the reaction is disproportional, the number of Israeli casualties are considerably lower than the Palestinians ones and there are civilian casualties.
It always happens this way. Whenever Israel reacts to Hamas or Hezbollah, the European jump up and down in protest.
When a state reacts to being hit by terrorists, there will be casualties, including civilian; the state always has more fire power and the terrorist always hide within civilian population; a state has better intelligence and is more capable of hitting the terrorist hard; the state doesn't react with a lot of force often (Hamas attacked Israel for years on a daily basis and altogether shot 11,000 rockets in about 9 years).
No one ever proposed a more mild response to terrorists, no one has a solution to avoiding civilian casualties when terrorist hide behind civilians. No one offered to Israel a plan and, in particular, a better plan than the one that evolved.
In simpler terms, the European are against Israel's ability to react. Short and simple, the European who killed more the 60 million people in WWII basically believe that they can dictate to Israel not to defend itself.
Making Israelis a target in a shooting range is nothing short of crime against humanity.
