There is a wide support for the Israeli demands for cease fire in Gaza. No more Hamas rocket fire on Israeli towns, no rearming of Hamas after the cease fire. There is a wide support for Hamas demand to stop the blockade on Gaza. (The latter is a real curious item. Hamas promises to eliminate Israel but meanwhile they want to enjoy Israeli hospitality for travel, commercial transfers, etc. Possible only in the Middle East: I'll kill you, but until then I want to borrow your car.)
Egypt is not strong enough to force the two side to compromise and stop the war. Europe and Russia should step in and force a compromise. It is possible and every day of war kills people on both sides.
