Turn on your own

George W. Bush is probably the worst president the country had. The economy is collapsing, the county's reputation deteriorated from high to nonexistent and the war in Iraq went badly and none of its goals was accomplished. Bush violated the constitution, spied on Americans, used torture and almost went to war with Iran.

Bill Clinton was the only two term president the Democrats had since FDR. Under his watch the economy flourished, a long term trend of huge deficits was reversed and the country started to have surpluses that could have used to pay for accumulated deficits. By and large, the country enjoyed peace and soldiers were not killed for nothing. Also, we were not in the business of killing huge number of our countries citizens.

In the Republican convention in St. Paul Bush was received with huge enthusiasm. Delegates to the convention love him; think that he did well in war and peace.

In the Democratic convention in Denver, Bill Clinton was openly hated, despised, called names by half the delegates. From a successful president, he became a racist, an unpredictable person, an albatross on the neck of the current candidate.

I doubt whether a party that can turn on its best deserves to win.
